Hosted by the DEC with the help of the Bayside Anglers Group LTD. a free saltwater fishing clinic held at the Gantry Plaza State Park Pier in LIC. Outlining 5 important elements of saltwater fishing (section 1) Basics of fishing tackle, equipment and more. (Section 2) Fishing Ethics. Keep fishing safe and fun for everyone.(Section 3) The Rules and Regulations of fishing and how they help protect our fish and our environment. (Section 4) Fish identification and biology. (Section 5) Have fun fishing!

Gantry Plaza State Park is located at 474 48th Ave. Long Island City. There is limited street parking so participants are encouraged to take the #7 subway to the Vernon-Jackson Avenue station. Gantry Plaza State Park is on the East River a few blocks west of the Vernon-Jackson Avenue station, on 48th Avenue.
