Bayside Anglers Group
18th Annual Family
Fishing Festival

Kissena Park Pond
Saturday, June 25
11am - 1pm

Bayside Anglers held its 18th annual Family Fishing Festival. Great weather and children ready to fish the rail next to the pond was full of happy and eager Jr Fishermen and Fisherwomen cheered on by their families. Thank you to all that turned out and made this another great event. Giveaways and raffle prizes, first, second, and third place trophies are handed out for the largest fish.  All fish are quickly and safely returned to the pond.

.  "The heat kept some at home (and the fish down) – but we still had kids and parents rail to rail having working those worms.  In all I believe we had about 40 kids.  Sold some raffles.  Top prize went to a young boy named Damien whose grandmother bought him down with a new rod.  And he never fished before.  He nailed a nice 17.5 inch large mouth. Second place went to a 2.5 year old girl with a 9” bass.  She was amazing – when her mom would take the rod from her hand for me to cast or re-bait; she would cry until she got the rod back. 3rd place was a 7 incher."

The Heart Felt thanks we got from everyone truly makes all the effort worth it!
